Today out of no where, Zak asked me:
"Mummy are you ugly?"
I was shocked for a second. Zak always tells me I'm beautiful! (to which I gush, "Thank you darling! And you are so handsome!") ...So where had this come from? I thought I had better set this boy straight while he is still young and teachable. So I replied "No darling, mummy isn't ugly, mummy is pretty!"
Zak was confused for a moment. "But mummy you've got a spot there" and he pointed to the mole I have between my eyes. It all clicked then. A few weeks back I had been complaining to Dave about my "ugly" mole. Zak must have heard me. It's amazing what kids remember!
I assured Zak that Mummy was beautiful. He kept insisting that mummy was ugly. After 5 minutes of trying to set my son straight, he seemed to get it. Just to make sure it had sunk in, I asked him "So is mummy beautiful or ugly?"
He sat thoughtfully for a second, before smiling and saying "You're beautiful!"
Gush!

I love this story, gorgeous! I'm glad you took the opportunity to set him straight while he's still young and teachable, because you're gorgeous :) xo
